Gigafast contract but no Gigafast hub. Wifi Max hub sent??

Hi

Just switched from BT broadband (halo 2 hub) to Sky Broadband. We are in the Gigafast contract. However we were sent the Sky Max hub and extender pod. We have an older  Sky Q box and 3 minis.

We can connect the main box but it soon loses connection. We therefore can't connect the minis so stuck with the full Sky tv package an no tv.
Infuriating because we had few problems with our Sky boxes with BT.
Engineer booked for Tuesday but if feels ages away😩

@Greg1791

The Max Hub is default hardware for new FTTP subscriptions.  Q needs to connect as if the Hub is non-Sky hardware (ie Hub to main box and then Mini boxes to main box)

 There's a significant technology gap between Q (2016) and Max (2023), and Max doesn't support the 'Q Mesh'.

@Greg1791 Also the help link below for connecting devices, but do treat it al as NON sky device on the TV side as you have taken the Sky Max hub package!

Also note the Sky Max hub is NOT the same as your current BT Smarthub2 if that is what you are using for your BB supplied by BT! Latest FW on that BT Router has turned it into a piece off junk!
