Poor quality engineer

I have had my sky to internet issue. I have sky broadband and BT Open reach as my telephone. The engineer was called out to the lack of connect and installer a new wire. But the company sky contacted was through open reach and it was some random engineers. They drilled massive holes in front of my house and left dangling unsightly wires outside the house. When we tried to get another Person to sort it, sky send another guy from the same company and he left even more holes. And wires. It's absolutely disgusting work. We tried to log a complaint and the sky complaints guy said 'why are you doing this. What's it going to achieve. Argued that we shouldn't complain about it' what a dodgy service.
has anyone else had this issue with sky or open reach and what do you advise?

@Kannan+T+P What is it that you are having done, is this an upgrade off the system now to a Full Fibre installation with the fact that your area or home is now covered by such! If it is have a look at the video below, OR (Openreach) are responsable for everything home to exchange and they decide who does what, contractors are what they use and that can be who ever they decide which may include a sky TRAINED Engineer that they have approved!

@Kannan+T+P to clarify work on the lines is controlled by Openreach who either send one of their own engineers or a subcontractor Sky have no control over who does what. Increasingly Sky prefer using their own engneers for work in their customer's homes but Sky engineers are only authorised to do agreeed tasks on the Openreach network.which mainly involve installling full fibre lines. Openreach do not deal withthe final customer all communication is via Sky..

Openreach subcontractors are often paid on a per job basis so the temptation to cut corners which sounds to be the problem you faced. You can complain formally to Sky who should pass the issue to Openreach who hopefully will send one of their salaried engineers who in my experience are excellent however given Sky have no direct control that isnt guaranteed and I can understand the Sky agent's comments "along the lines of lifeis too short".
