@Domblewomble you only need around 10Mb/s to play on line games so I assume you are referring to download speed of updates etc. With faster connections many servers limit bandwidth on downloads so they can serve more customers on popular files could thst be what you are seeing?. Speetests on sites like Fast.com or Speedtest.net are normally reliable but of course you have to take into account any other devices use of the connection when running the test.
