Poor and broken WiFi connection

My WiFi connection is terrible, my kids' ipads are constantly connecting and disconnecting (as in by the minute) and I've had to switch my WiFi off on my phone to get anything done. I'm self employed and do my admin from home so rely on the WiFi. All tests run on the my sky app suggest the connection is fine, any suggestions?
