Poor WiFi in main bedroom following new router

I am getting very poor or no WiFi in my main bedroom following a new router being fitted in another room on 24 March and intermittent access in other rooms. I was sent a booster in the post but this has not resolved the issue and my wifi is now worse than it was on my previous router. I had very little  issues with the old router, but decreased wifi on this new router which was supposed to be an improvement not a worse service.
