Poor Wi-Wi

Hi I've had sky installed yesterday and find that my Wi-Fi signal is very slow and poor I've signed up with Sky from Virgin who's Wi-Fi was spot on now I've had problems with no coverage on my security system.

when I signed up the person on the phone said I would get a Wi-Fi booster which I haven't received. Can someone help please
