Poor Router Performance

I have recently joined SKy Broadband however the router performance is awful unless you are in the same room Sitting in the room immediately above the router the speed drops to around 55Mbps from 900 in the same room. The room's diagonally above the router, speed drops to single figures. I have just left Virgin and had no issues at all with speed in any room in the house. This router is not fit for purpose

@Skymat Guess you got the white sky Max from sky, what did you have from VM?
