Phone connectivity problems

So this past week or so, my phone when im actively on the WIFI doesnt let me load certain apps like the sky mobile app, flightrader24 and a few others I have. I can still access social media apps but with other apps I cant properly. 

 

When i go onto my data the apps wanna load properly including the sky mobile app, flightrader24 and a few others. Then i switch it to my wifi then it either goes back to loading or loads then doesnt load pictures or videos. 

 

Ive restarted my phone numerous times, restarted the WIFI, disconnected and reconnect to the WIFI. 

 

How do i resolve this issue properly or fix it at least? Because its annoying me as i wanna be able to see my apps but i cant use them properly. Others in my house have also been dealing with this issue but nothing is working

Hi @Jade2003  if others in the house are having the same issue then it points towards a WiFi/router issue. I would have suggested restarting the router as that would normally sort this sort of problem but you have tried that.

Sky is my provider, ive tried restarting my router, ive restarted my phone, ive uninstalled apps and re-install them. Ive tried everything near enough

My mums been having problems with it as well, my sister had the same but hers is working fine now. Ive restarted my router (several times), ive restarted my phone, ive uninstalled and reinstalled the apps that arent working but nothing seems to work. 

 

Ive paid my phone bill as well recently. But it only happens when im on the wifi as i can use my social medias and some apps but the apps i cant use or see, i need to look at for bit and bobs. Then when i go onto my data i can use everything as normal, then once i put my wifi back on my phone it slows down again

Have you checked your Sky broadband shield settings and tried lowering them.

The wifi i use isnt mine, my mum pays for it so im not sure if ill have access to it and i highly doubt shed let me look at something

So to be clear are these issues happening when you are on mobile data or connected to the Wi-Fi network ?

Connected to the internet. Whilst connected i can use social media apps, google apps and basic samsung apps but no other apps

Internet can be both mobile data and Wifi, so which one ?

In that case @Jade2003 you need to get your Mum to look at those broadsvabd shield settings as that could be what is causing these issues.

The thing is no one else is really having troubles. My mum had it the other day but is fine now. Its just me

In your first post you said "Others in my house have also been dealing with this issue but nothing is working", so I'm a bit confused here?

 

You say it's your mums broadband that you're trying to connect with via the WiFi, does she just have the Sky router or is she using a 3rd party router or mesh system? If the latter are you connecting via a restricted guest log-in perhaps?

Our router is an official sky broadband, we had someone from sky come fit it.  Mums the account holder and she wouldnt mess with stuff without actually talking to everyone first about it.

 

People were struggling but its managed to cover on their ends, like stuff works for them and not me.
