Phone apps run very slow on Wi-Fi. Run very fast when Wi-Fi is switched off.

Recently my phone apps are running very slow but when I switch off the WiFi the apps work correctly. I have tested connection and shows no problem.

Are you new to sky?

Any idea what your broadband shield settings are?

Hi Cookiemonsteruk.

Been with Sky for more than 3 years and only noticed it in the last 3 weeks. 

Several apps including Sky, banking and gym apps are all running slow. There may be others. 

The only category I have blocked in Shield is  Phishing & Malware

I recently reduced the number of channels but have not changed broadband.

Did you get any resolution on this as I have the same issue. I was told that there were too many devices connected to the router, but still the same if I switch them all off.

@Stu+Redding there are multiple things that could cause your wifi to becslower than mobile data, if you post your Sky hub's stats forum members can see whatvus your issue. See Find your Sky Broadband router statistics

Slow wi-fi. It was great when we started as new customers with Sky but poor now. Have you strangled our bandwidth?
