Option to disable interleaving on adsl line?

After coming across this post on Reddit saying interleaving will reduce latency. Is this true? Do I have an option to disable it? I am on adsl line with 20down and 1up.

Interleaving and dlm go hand in hand .  The ideal is fastpath but cannot be changed. Even if it could you would be letting crc errors

Unfortunately not the higher the noise margin the higher level of interleaving. Given your speed on a 24Mbps maximum line i wouldn't think you interleaving would be an issue

With that noise margin of 6db your interleaving should be fastpath anyway

• The only way to improve on latency etc would be upgrading to fttc or fttp when it becomes available

If fibre does become available I'm undecided on which isp to go for, for lower latency. I see research saying bt has lowest

Its mainly down to the distance from the exchange or cabinet and line condition plays a part (not in your case)

The screenshot confirms fibre isnt avaliable to you, as you already said.

No fttc and not in a fttp priority area 😫

I did contact openreach and they said fttp works will start in my area in January 2023. 

'I’ve looked into your enquiry and the great news is that we will have some fantastic connectivity options for your home. I can see the equipment you’re connected to is getting an upgrade. This will give you the option of ordering Fibre to the Premises (FTTP). 

Our engineering work is due to start the beginning of Jan, 2023 and will take several months to complete. I’m sorry we can’t give you a more specific date at this time but once the work is completed you’ll be able to place an order with your chosen service provider.'
