Openreach
I recently had fiber optic service installed, and Openreach indicated that a Sky technician would disconnect my landline cable. However, the Sky technician who arrived stated that Openreach was responsible for removing the landline cable, as it is not within Sky's remit. Could you please advise on the appropriate steps to resolve this issue?

Re: Openreach
Redundant copper cables to individual households are not currently being removed: the cost of doing so for domestic phone pairs far exceeds any scrap metal value, and Openreach is not in a position to make-good brickwork, fascia, plaster or paint damage.
They may eventually reclaim multi-core street wiring which does at least have a decent weight of copper and isn't pinned down by a billion rusty cable clips.
