Openreach fibre installation changed date

I am waiting for Openreach to Install full fibre for streaming. They have sent a text message changing the date to a week later than planned. I am confused as they haven't given any reason and I don't know what to do as I have to cancel my virgin media tonight to be within there 14day cooling off time. 

Any advice is welcome.

Not a lot you can do, they plan in work but sometimes this has to change due to reasource availability.

Sky will request the work to Openreach it can change though.

You can try asking sky to improve the date, but they don't plan Openreach's work. You ending VM contract won't really hurry them up either, you can ask, they may be able to help. I suggest you phone them, chat can be rather frustrating.

@AngT1 Sky and VM are all part off the OTS, so you have NO need to contact VM for anything, that is all for sky to do, they inform VM once you are connected, you should already have had notification from VM that you are leaving them that let's you know the process is in place.

You do need to keep an eye on the VM side, they just love to say sorry know one told us, and keep billing away and taking your money etc etc. Or they do the Sky Never said so you need to go back to them and have them tell us, more delay's, just take the overlap if they try that and cancel VM, they always play silly beggars for sure!

Thanks for the advice. The sky installation is now delayed by openreach but ill have to cancel vm as I'm in the 14day cooling off  period.
