Checking Openreach/SKY for fibre up grades
I noticed openreach offer a high speed copper broadband .300bps
I looked on the SKy app and it is not offered offer as a upgrade only the SkY Max router ? The extra speed is about what I need,
so why can't or will not Openreach/SKY offer it ?

Sky does not offer anything other than Ultrafast 1 ('up to' 150Mbs) over G.fast
There's historically also been a 300Mbs version available on the wholesale market, but very few properties could ever receive that because of the very short distance such a speed can travel over copper phone pairs.
Most ISPs have now ended G.fast resale entirely. Only around 10% of UK addresses were ever in areas served by G.fast infrastructure, and Openreach ceased deployment in new regions several years ago as it's fundamentally a dead-end technology being superceded by the national FTTP rollout.

TBG,
Thanks for that, if as you say it's discontinued, it's seems odd Openreach still offer it on their wed page ? It's the only place I looked .
Though I did read Openresch are installing in my Area so I suppose that could be. It. Thanks for your time 😀

It's still available as a product to ISPs from BT Wholesale in areas where the technology reached before rollout ceased: most of those ISPs just aren't interested in offering it to potential subscribers any more.
Increasingly FTTP overbuild is replacing G.fast anyway.
