Openreach connection to house

Hello - does anyone know what our options are when we have no end in sight for Openreach connecting our house to fibre? We moved in a month ago (in London) and only receive texts saying when the next text update will be. We both work from home and are about to have a new baby so it's feeling quite urgent to be connected again....is it possible to use the old phone line connection? Thanks for any help

Possibly if you were to cancel with Sky and then place an order  with an ISP which does not resell FTTP, but even then the assumption is that all properties will be provisioned over optical cable where this is in the area.  Many exchanges are now designated as 'fibre priority' which means other connectivity is effectively unavailable to ISPs at wholesale rates.
