Open reach install survey

How do I find out if the survey has been carried out as we live on a private road and others in the road will not allow it to be dug up

Is that the normal property assessment (which will generate information in the link @cookiemonsteruk provided) or a specific survey for FTTPoD?

Without relevant permissions, digging or pole placement becomes highly problematic.

Re: Open reach install survey

We were told when we were offered the upgrade that a site survey would take place to see if the work could be carried out. I don't want the engineer turning up on the day then saying they are going to have to dig up the road which our neighbours won't allow.

If there's a speed for FTTC but FTTP is 'not available' then the location isn't yet part of the national optical rollout.

It does say underground thru a congested duct.  That doesn't necessarily mean they have to dig if they can get a line thru it

Realistically there will need to be an attempt to get fibre through before it can be known whether digging is needed.

It's important to understand that Openreach needs to get over 80,000 new FTTP installations in place every week between now and December 2026 to meet the national rollout target, so reaching any particular individual property is a tiny fraction of the overall workload: this effectively rules out extensive survey work even for potentially trickier locations.
