My box is in a cupboard and the internet doesn't work unless the router is not in the cupboard. The leads are not long enough to sensibly re position the router. Can the open reach box be moved to a better area?

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@Tb28 while the connection maybe able to be moved there will be a charge for the joh. It may be simpler to get longer cables which are readily available. If you have full fibre (your hub connects to a ONT with lights on it) you need an Ethernet cable which are readily available in any length and colour you desire look in any hardware store or larger supermarket.
If your connection is still via the older phone socket with no lights you need a DSL cable with rj11 connectors again pretty easy to find but stsy below 10m long to avoid issues with losing speed.
If you definitely want the incoming connection moved then call Sky to start the process. Why anyone decided thst putting wifi routers in cupboards was a good idea defeats me but some developers still do this in new builds.
