Only house on street cant get broadband

Hi all,

Me and my partner have been renovating our house, one thing we are having trouble finding is broadband.

I have looked to see if sky broadband is available where we are not its not.

I recently looked and the other three houses next to us can get it but we cant, why is this?

Any advise would help

That does suggest you can get 80Mbps through any openreach isp including sky

Thats good then,  thanks for looking, i have no idea about this stuff, partner does though. Haha

So i wonder why it says we cant get but everone else can.

I guess getting into touch with sky is an option.

Could it be that we don't have a landline and are not living in it yet?

Are you new to the property

Whilst renovating have your broadband been disconnected for a long period of time

You would need to call sky

Contact sky as below

Yeah, Its been empty with no broadband  for almost two years now.

Has sky got a number i can ring, because I've tried to find one but no luck.

Very likely , you need an line first

I think there might be a wire for a landline from the people we bought the house from, but obviously it had nothing for a long period of time.

Once a property is no longer on the openreach database for a year or two then it drops off the radar . You would need to call sky and ask for a new line

Right didn't know that, but makes sense.
