Hi - I tried to get some tickets today at seetickets.com. I simply cannot get onto their website at all.
I have tried the following devices through my router: iMac, Macbook, PC, iPad, iPhone. All just time out. I have tried Chrome & Safari browsers. I downloaded and tried Firefox. I have cleared cache, I have rebooted, I have restarted the router, I even powered it off for 15 minutes.
However if I use my phone's 4G or tether to it, then I can get through.
This leads me to believe it is either Sky's DNS resolution (unlikely as surely there would be more 'noise' around this) or my public IP is blocked at See.
I want to eliminate the latter by picking up a new public IP, but I'm not at all certain that it's that easy. Powering off the router for 15 mins certainly didnt force anything.
Any tips?

Hi thanks for the response. I turned my router off for over an hour, and got the same IP address back. I've tried this 3 times now (with increasingly long down times).
Are there any other tricks?
I find it frustrating that I can not get in touch with either Sky or See Tickets technical teams. Even via ticket or email form.
Do Sky tech teams read this? Is there a way to temporarily disable the offending IP address to force me to get a new one?
Thanks in advance, Simon

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@robotfish are you sure your public IP address hasn't changed? That is the address the internet sees for your router not the address your devices see which remains 192.168.0.1.
My Sky hub is connecting to https://www.seetickets.com although this devicecis using Googles DNS rather than Sky's.
Edit check the Sky Broadband Shield settings on your account through the My Sky app as they msy be set to age 13 which is the default.

Hi and thanks for the reply. Yes it is my public IP that appears to be rather sticky: 2.221.X.Y (not an internal IP).
