ONT fault light solid red

Hello

My internet stopped working and i saw a solid red fault light on my ONT.

power cycled it a couple of times and no luck but eventually the internet came back on.

My internet is now working, but my ONT still shows a solid red fault light.  

The other lights are:
> - PON solid green
> - LOS off
> - Port 1 flashing  

 I’ve restarted the ONT, but the fault light remains. How can i check whether this indicates a hardware or firmware issue? I want to make sure it’s not a sign of a future failure.

@Waddellb1 How long do you leave it powered off on the ONT? If the Fault light is down bottom right off the ONT then it is indicating battery failure, so see the link below as soon as i locate it again then watch the video about changing!
