@Dw13 you are not talking to Sky by posting in the forum. Wifi signal strength is affected by distance, what solid objects like walls etc thecsignal has to pass through and the level of interference from other networks and electrical kit.
In practice all routers radiate the same power which is limited by regulation while more expensive routers use some clever technology to improve speeds most freebie routers isps provide are much of a muchness but every riuter yet made is limited by the laws of physics.
