Hi,
I'm in Dublin, I have Ultrafast max offer which is supposed to be up to 1Gb, but running tests on speedtest, I have barely 17Mbps, so 1.7% of the advertised speed. I do use wifi on a laptop that is 1m away from the router. I had no issue with my previous provider (digiweb). When playing online games, I noticed that despite having reasonable ping/latency, I have regular packet losses, both ways. Any help is appreciated

@slg112 something is seriously wrong if you are only seeing spedds as low as 17Mb/s around a metre from the hub. First suggestion is to move your laptop further from the hub as you can get issues very close the hub where the signal from the aerials cancel themselves out. However if thst doesnt work call Sky Ireland as it sounds like the hub msy be faulty.

Thanks, I don't think it's location or consuming device related because I observe the same download speed on multiple devices in different parts of the house. That being said, I restarted the router and got an improvement to 100Mbps. Now, I don't know what should be my expectation given my subscription and the fact that I rely on Wifi. I read it should be somewhere between 300-600Mbps, which seems a wide range. Is it correct?

All WiFi is zero Mbs on the other side of a few walls or past some tens of metres of clear air...
