No wifi

Hi, yesterday I received the white hub and upgraded to gigafast broadband. Yesterday was also my activation date and although on the app on my orders it says active I have received no text confirmation and my WiFi isn't working. When I run a broadband test it says everything is fine and connected but my WiFi is turned off. Have sky just not activated it? I can't seem to be able to speak to an actual human. I have tried all the steps over and over again and it does nothing. All the lights are green on the open reach ONT and the light is white on the hub. The hub also isn't showing on my sky app so some of the steps I'm being told to do I can't.

thank you

Re: No wifi

I also have the same issue. Case reported and got a confirmation saying this will be solved in 72 hours which is till not resolved. My new white max Hub is red. Luckly I have old sky Hub to continue my works. While checking the speed via app, this shows 700+ which is wrong as the new Hub is still red light indication and old Hub dod not get that speed. So I completely lost the Trust in sky app connectivity checks or speed indications.

@Haneefa youbdo not have the same issue as the OP whose fibre service has a fault if the old hub is working by definition you dont have that issue. Instead it sounds like the new hub you have either has a fault or has not been set up correctly before being sent to you. As it is Christmas I would leave sorting this until after the holiday contact Sky then and getvitvsorted.

In practice few if any apos can use much more than 100Mb/s let alone the roughly 700Mb/s your older black hub 4.2 can deliver as a WiFi5 device. The only thing you are missing out on would be a marginal increase in some download speeds on WiFi6 equipped devuces with the newer WiFi6 caoable Sky Max hub. In practice many server operators especially for game updates limit bandwidth each connection can access.

Re: No wifi

Hi team,

This new white max Hub is monthly rental modem which  is not worked from the date of the installation.

Without this max Hub also, Can I get I speed internet? That is the reason the speed showing is doubtfull for me.!

I chosen this White Max hub to get highest download from Sky.

Hope you can help me to sort this.

@Haneefa

The Hub model makes no difference to speed delivered from the internet.

Re: No wifi
