No upload speed on laptops, internet unusable
I got Sky involved when the internet became unusable on my main laptop. The wireless was dropping out altogether a few days before speedtests showed that there was a reasonable download speed but virtually no upload. To prove the point I tried wired and wireless on two laptops with the same results. Running the internet off a mobile hotspot gave me an upload, so I assumed, as did sky, a problem with the hub, faceplate or DSL cable.
The sky engineer arrived earlier today and confirmed that the wiring connection to the hub showed good. He then replaced the hub, faceplate and DSL cable and his palmtop showed good download and upload. Unfortunately when I tried my laptops, nothing had improved, internet unusable and no upload speed. He did what he could, checked the line, etc but has now gone away, leaving me in the same sitaution as when he arrived.
I am struggling to understand this, as why would two laptops have no upload with sky but no upload issue with a 4G hotspot. Trying to organise a third, known working, laptop to test at the moment but I have effectively been left high and dry as the Sky engineer says he has done all he can do and as his equipment indicates everything, including upload is good, openreach will not get involved.
Has anyone got any idea what is happening here?
Thank you
