I have been with sky for over 4 years now, my contract is due to come to an end in November. I would like to stay with sky, but want to upgrade my broadband.
Everytime I try to look into what broadband options there are, it tells me sky broadband is not available in my area. I'm slightly confused as I am currently using sky broadband?

What broadband package are you currently on?
Could you enter your full postal address below and post the table after removing your address from the image

I am on super fast broadband, not too sure if any others are available in my area but usually I can check that, but it's not showing me anything. I'm no good at all of this, so have no idea what I'm looking at 😅

Your fibre cabinet is fully sold so if you tried to change ISPs you risk losing your connection and be stuck with slower ADSL. This is becoming quite common as Openreach stop expanding FTTC capacity as tye technology is on its way out as they switch to full fibre which isnt available at your address as yet,
Forget FTTP on demand unless you have £10k or more available. The only faster service would require a different network like Virgin Media or mobile broadband unless one of the many Altnets have laid fibre to your road.

What does it say under sogea
@Chrisee the wbc fttc is unavailable but since the start of this month all those lines will show sogea. The worrying thing is the sky isn't available bit

Ohh I see! Just found it really strange as the broadband has been really temperamental lately, it keeps cutting out and we're getting very slow download speeds!

I don't really know what's going on but the broadband hasn't been very good lately.
I've added a screenshot for reference of what is happening whenever I try to even look at my broadband.

The difference between wbc fttc and sogea which is available is the phone plugs into the of the sky hub. Since the 5th september openreach stopped selling fttc in preperation of the analogue phone system switch off in 2025

Ouch. That is 50 shades of a very bad line
We can escalate to sky directly but the quickest way would be to call sky as above to book an engineer

We thought so! Honestly I don't really understand it all, but just knew it wasn't right. It takes hours to download things and the Wi-Fi just keeps randomly stopping etc. Will give them a call, thank you!

Your guaranteed download should be around 22-27Mbps which clearly you are no where close. Do you want me to escalate this to sky ?
