No broadband service / Sky service N7 area, been nearly an hour now absolute liberty!!

Domestic broadband from any ISP has no guarantee of availability, no particular service level offering and, unless the subscriber specifically chooses to pay extra, no failover to alternate provision.

All of us pay for the level of service which it's possible for an ISP to deliver for that kind of money (about £1 a day). This means, for example, that ISPs are themselves on a two working day target time to fix from Openreach. Business broadband with a 12 hour response time would be more like £6 per day.
Personally I choose to pay an additional amount for a service which includes failover to a cellular data link.
