No full fibre deal from sky, open reach says it's ready to install...
Hi I checked with open reach and they said my area/ flat is full fibre ready yet I got no deals/ offers from yourself nor other providers. Why? How I go about about getting full fibre?

@Tom306 Logon to your account and see what is available! Sky just may not be ready as it does take time for them to get ready!

I seen on open reach that it's ready to install since over 12 months, yet no upgrade options from sky since then....

Says I can only upgrade my WiFi router. As I mentioned openreach availability checker says it's ready to install.

As you can see FTTP on deman is available.

"FTTP is not available" - right there in the text under the table.

'FTTP on Demand' is not retail FTTP: it's where the occupant of a property pays the full cost of an individual optical cable installation ahead of the national rollout, which is typically tens or even hundreds of thousands of pounds.

Yeah I see it. But in table it says availability date - available, so it can be installed but not available yet as it hasn't been installed yet?

Re: No full fibre deal from sky, open reach says it's ready to install...
Unless you have the scale of financial resources required to pay for a bespoke installation from scratch you'll need to wait until the text under the table becomes
'FTTP is available and a new ONT may be ordered '
FTTPoD is theoretically available in most places, but almost no-one can afford it.
Unfortunately Openreach persists in showing the line for FTTPoD in their results table, which is frankly misleading.
As an indication of the expense involved, Openreach charges the customer £300 for a desktop inquiry and then £3K for a complex survey just so they can generate a quote for the job...
