No engineers?

Hi All

 

Im based in dublin/ireland

 

My fiber optic cable is snapped/broken i have been trying to reach Sky since 24th of December i have called them continuesly till today and they are unable to give me engineer to come out, is this due to backlog due to Xmas or how can i not be given a date of fix

 

Am i entitled to a full refund since issue reported and cancel contract free of charge as i am not receiving a service thats paid of, No choise but to move since SKY themself are unable to provide support

You would qualify for compensation credit but not until your line has been fixed as per this:

Thanks for your reply, but surely im entitled to cancel contract if they are not able to provide a fix for 2 weeks so far and even today i rang again they are unable to arrange engineer and they wont tell me when, it could be additional weeks or month nobody knows and obviously broadbanded is needed and i can get one from a different supplier within few days lol

That would not be automatic grounds for unilateral cancellation in the UK: consumer law and telecoms regulation may be different in the Republic.
