Broadband installed yesterday, have tried to connect today but keeps saying no connection. Tried to tuns tests through sky app but keep getting not available message.

Is the internet light on your hub green, amber or off ?

The internet light is off, the power and wifi are green and the voice is Amber

When you ran tests from your my sky app or sky.com account did you use 4g/5g ?
Yesterday was definitely your activation date ?
We can escalate to sky if you wish but it may be quicker to call sky on

Thanks for replying, yes yesterday was definitely the activation. Should I have been connected to 4g/5g when testing?

Connecting via 4g/5g gets around the issue of not having broadband and still runs the same tests and hopefully allow you to book an engineer.
