No connection but still being charged. Why?

My broadband has been activated (late) but I still have no WiFi. So why is Sky charging me?

@AC55 That will be becuase you are billed from the date of activation, if there is a fault then you need to call Sky and log it and its worth noting that billing continues as normal even when there is a fault, you may be eligible for the automatic compensation scheme if there is a complete loss of service.

Thanks for your helpful response. But Sky have  already confirmed I have no WiFi connection and have advised me the awful Openreach may get round to investigating why at some date in the distant future. So why do I need to waste hours of my time trying to contact Sky to  stop them charging me for a service they're not providing?

@AC55 I guess you didn't fully read my reply then, so let's try again, your billing won't stop, you will have to pay for the service even when it's not working, if you have already contacted Sky and they have agreed there is a complete loss of service then you should be eligible for the automatic compensation scheme, that pays £9.98 for everyday it's not fixed(the first 2 days after reporting the fault are not counted).
