No broadband or talk. Line fault?
Following a heavy storm yesterday we lost sky talk and broadband. A red light is flashing on the broadband hub (power) Does this indicate we have a line fault?
There are no reported problems in our area.
service checker states issue with our broadband?
father with Alzheimer's/dementia, so landline is crucial.

Which hub do you have?
Normally a static red light means the hub has power supply issues and needs replaced whilst a flashing amber means its in recovery mode and you'd need to press and hold down the reset button until the ligits flash to see if that restores it

It's the black broadband hub (upright)
it's definitely flashing red. I did test as saw about amber flashing light, but holding the reset button on back for 10 seconds did nothing (I tried this several times...and for longer)
every time I try to reboot (power off/on) the red light comes back flashing again.

Are you the account holder or do you know the answers to the security questions?
If so you should call sky to get a new hub

Thank you. I will try calling again. Been struggling to get through to speak to anyone but will preservere as this is impacting the family.
I am with my elderly parents and trying to resolve this on their behalf to get them back up and running. Will see how I get on!
