No Sky broadband equipment

I am having sky broadband which will go live in a week but I havnt recieved the equipment yet, is that normal?
When I was on the phone to agree a contract the man I spoke to said I would receive it within 5-7 working days from the date of that phone call which should of been two weeks ago.
