No Router Delivered

Royal Mail delivered an Ethernet cable only!  No router, plug etc.   Activation day tomorrow!  Currently with EE.  CS advised they can only look into this once activation is live!   No internet until resolved..  Sky Glass so no TV, Hive & Cameras all down & EV uses wi-fi to send charge signal.   Work from home!   Not a great start to my Sky BB journey!   Bet I get charged from activation day!

If you have been sent only an ethernet cable then it will be because the broadband hub you have can be used as you do not need another one. The ethernet cable will be used to plug into the back of it and the ONT that will be installed.

I have EE at present.  Suspect when Sky is live (8/6/26) EE router will not function & I'll be left without internet until resolved. 
Are you suggesting an EE router is compatible with Sky using the same Openreach line?
