No Internet!!

Why is the broadand checker saying all is ok! No Internet for hours and same for neighbours. Sort it out. Why am I paying for this. Appalling service

If you’re not already aware this is a customer helps customer forum and you aren’t contacting Sky Customer Services.


If you haven’t done it already use the below link to check to see if there are any problems or outages nearby
https://www.sky.com/servicechecker
(This should determine if there's an identified fault affecting multiple households)

If there aren't any then try running the line test here
https://www.sky.com/help/articles/broadband-diagnostic-start
You can also run the test via the MySky app on a mobile data connection.

Once completed, if it reports back that all is good click on 'broadband' to run an updated test. If you get amber or red you need to follow the on-screen instructions.

If you’re still having problems you may need to call Sky to report it. Dial 150 free from your Sky Talk landline (if it’s still working).

(For any customers working from home remember that Sky Broadband is a domestic service so you won’t receive any extra or quicker support).

Thanks for your response. According to Sky there is no issue. My neighbours have no internet either. As for contacting Sky I won't waste my time

We have the same in Nuneaton. The local bar can't take payments . My neighbour has contacted sky and they said it was a green box problem (whatever that is) and no idea when it was sorted.  Doesn't seem to be any way to contact sky and I am certainly not phoning them as that is absolutely a waste of time

I totally agree sky doesn't have a clue more like an ostrich just buries ther head in the sand.

Presumably the local fibre cabinet, which means it's an issue for Openreach to resolve.  Individual ISPs have no jurisdiction over such things: their personnel cannot even touch cabinets.

It's not a local cabinet, as it's too widespread for that. Plus me and my neighbour are fibre to the premises, which doesn't go through the cabinet. We both have no service.

Same here, told by SKY it was my line and could send an engineer on the 15th April! I pointed out many folk were reporting issues and SKY denied it!
