No Internet

Is anyone else's Internet down and apparently they can't find it and when the do a test everything is ok but not for us it's happened a few times never had this with my old supplier when we got the sky steam box thing they said this wouldn't happen and now it has and everything is down can anyone suggest something that helped them maybe chuck it in the bin.

No ISP should make such a claim: whatever hardware they have at the address cannot possibly prevent external faults.
