No Broadband after activation date

I've just got Sky broadband and the Internet wouldn't connect (Internet light stayed on amber) on my activation date of 23rd April. I tried the day after, and the day after, and the day after... but no change. It's worth noting that when I plug in my old BT Hub I'm getting broadband fine, but obviously this isn't a long term fix as I have to return this soon. I booked a Sky engineer to come out between 0800-1300 but they never showed up and haven't heard anything from them since... Any help on next steps/troubleshooting?

As your activation date was last week and as you can still access your Bt connection then I would suggest calling Sky so they can look into this for you,

Just checked my serial number and it appears to start with DE - sounds like I got one of the routers intended for Ireland! I'll contact Sky and try to get a replacement sent out in that case. Thanks for the help!

@MrFINcredible Does appear that the DE is only for use in the ROI i assume, did not even know until the earlier posting, so must be a stocking oops in sky warehouse when they are dispatching.
