No Broadband For Four Days

I've had no broadband dkrmflirndays now, today the engineer didn't turn up. No broadband means no tb either, so I've had nothing dkrmflirndays. I don't talk on the phone and there's no online chat, just a ridiculous automated bot that asks me to phone Aky. I'm disgusted, all my Aky equipment is close to being binned.

As you are financially responsible for its safekeeping and eventual return, that would be unwise.

Unfortunately weekends don't count towards the target time for broadband repair by Openreach, which is two working days (after which the Ofcom compensation scheme applies, although not for subscription television)

I've escalated your post here to try and get round the phone issues.

Re: Compensation for no tv

I'm in a similar position, no broadband or Sky Stream for seven days, then the engineer didn't  bother to turn up.Sky have already taken payment for the period I had no service at all, I've had three phonecalls and not once.was.autatoc compensation for the lack of broadband mentioned. I  am sick of Sky fobbing me.off.so have passed all details onto Sky.

 Bizarrely my service.was disrupted by an OpenReach engineer accidentally disconnecting me!

Re: No Broadband For Four Days

I had seven days with no broadband or TV, three phonecalls to Sky made for me and we.got.nowhere, this has now been passed on to Ofcom as Sky has already taken full payment for the period concerned,, no mention of any automated compensation for the engineer not arriving or the complete lack of service.

@RonertMead

There is no automatic compensation for loss of Stream TV services, even if it's caused by a broadband fault.

This link explains the Ofcom agreed auto compensation scheme which Sky operates for when there is a TOTAL loss of Sky Broadband or Sky Talk for UK customers.
https://www.sky.com/help/articles/auto-compensation

If you have a total loss of service and it isn’t fixed after two full WORKING days from when Sky are notified of the fault, you will become eligible for it. This auto compensation is applied 30 days after the fault has been repaired and will come in the form of a credit appearing on your Sky account (from April 2026 the rate has increased to £10.34 for every complete day).

Yes: billing continues as usual.  It would be extremely difficult to have any other system.

Compensation (at far more than the daily broadband subscription rate) is applied retrospectively in a subsequent billing cycle.
