New router - wait until midnight?!?

Just setup a replacement sky router and all lights green. Password not accepted by mobile or PC - do I really have to wait until midnight for the hub to be accessible?

@pez62 no but check if it is a white hub thesexare sometimes set up,to match the hub they replace. When reading the passcodecit it isxeasy to misread numbers rs like 1 or 0 as letters I or O or vice versa.

Re: New router - wait until midnight?!?

Correct password used - copied it directly with phone's camera and had it spell-checked by other half on PC.

Is a black router not white. Think I'll have to phone helpline tomorrow, limping along using old one again for now.

Thanks.

@pez62 Youbcan reset the black hubs back tomthe settings on the label by pressing in thecreset pin fir up,tom20 seconds until the power led flashes. Spell checking a passcode will, not excludecreading a letter as a number or vice versa.

You should be able to copy the WiFi  SSID & password from the old router and then replace the one in the new router. All devices that haven't been changed or had the old details "forgotten" will automatically connect.

Re: New router - wait until midnight?!?

Contacted Sky - fault with line and upgrade to broadband connection required. Engineer booked to check fault and 2 week wait to upgrade remotely. Thankyou for everyone's advice.
