New fibre installation - Wifi only working on Macbook, but PS5, TV, Netflix, orhter PCs not working

Hi all, I've just had new fibre installed.  Whilst the engineer was present, I tested the LAN and Wifi with my Macbook....no issues, getting the speed I wanted.  But now as he left, when connecting my TV, Consoles, other PCs, nothing else works on wifi. 

• If I run a LAN cable from the router to my LG tv, it works fine...but the Wifi does not work. 
• If I run a LAN cable from the router to my PS5, it does not work and neither does the wifi.
• Windows PCs in the house, not working on wifi.
• Strangely, my Samsung phone seems to work on wifi.

An hour earlier before the enigneer was here, everything worked 100%.

Very strange, no idea why that is.  Any thoughts?

@Stanley000 What sky Hub do you have installed on the system, and wonder if your hub FW updated during the period where it was settling in! Have you switched the hub off for a couple mins to be sure if that did happen it's applied fine.

When you said everything was fine, then you had it all connected and A OK! But was that on an older sky hub by chance!

I'm sure he said it is a hub 4, it is a new one, he unboxed it there and then.

I've gone for the Full fibre 900Mbps option.

Thus far, I've switched the hub off a few times, gave a good couple of minutes before switching it back on.

The internet is consistantly good on my MacBook, both through LAN or/and Wifi.  (Running on Wifi now as I'm typing this)

When trying to connect the PS5 over wifi, it accepts the password and connects fine.  Then when runing the Test internet connection on PS5, internet connection status is Failed.

Same on the TV, connecting to the wifi seems good.  But then when opening Netflix or Prime  it cannot get any internet.

The only other two success I've had so far:

On my mobile phone, if I switch mobile data off and just use Wifi, I can actually browse on the Sky wifi.

And if I plug a LAN cable into the TV, it also works...the Netflix and Prime are happy.

I know very little about Forwarding, which I think is what you are referencing...but that may just be it

@Stanley000 Hub4.2 would be the SR203 black Broadband Hub, the sky Max is the SR213 white in colour. Link below to the sky hubs! Nothing to do with forwarding, but will be good to know which hub, sure you would have got the white sky Max!

No sadly only got the Black basic hub @JimM1 , not the 'promised' Sky Max hub.  I'll need to contact Sky about that I presume.  Damnit

@Stanley000 You are way better off with the sky SR203 Broadband Hub, you will get up near the 600Mb/s on wireless wi-fi but the concern is the lack off connection on wireless to your other devices, that sky Hub is normally rock solid and Ethernet for sure is!

Wireless wi-fi signal is never the greatest as not that powerfull and with a new Fibre Installation that you have the Hub may just not be in the best placement to get the wireless everywhere you need it!

TV in general is bad, gave up the ghost on my Samsung with wi-fi, never had an issue now it is hard wired Ethernet. PS5 on wifi may be down to the connection so do rule it out with a cable.

Look at the hub using the web interface 192.168.0.1 it will let you see what is going on!

The wifi signal on all devices is strong, within a meter of everything I am trying to test.  And if I plug ehter into the PS I just get "Your internet service provider or your router might be preventing your PS5 from connecting to the internet."
