New customer - Sky Hub delivery

I arranged to sign up to Sky a couple of weeks ago for my new property which I am moving to next Sunday. The person I spoke to said that the Hub would be delivered to my current address so that I could connect up when I move in (service due to activate on Friday). The puck would be able to be rescheduled (which I have done) because it has to go to the service address only. I was told to expect the hun by yesterday. Suprise, it hasn't arrived. And on checking it is marked as "Coming soon" to the new address that will be empty because I haven't moved there yet - as I told the person when I signed up. Leaving me unable to connect my hub to the service, without broadband, and at a bank holiday. So not at all impressed already. Is there any way that this can be fixed or is it to late to redirect it, given how impossible it is to find a person to speak to and the AI is stupid and doesn't understand the questions.

With over a week to go, that's not surprising.

I believe that's always the case: I don't think you should have been told that delivery to your current address is possible.

Re: New customer - Sky Hub delivery

Well that's an auspicious start for a new customer when customer services selling the package tell you when it will arrive and where it will arrive, and both pieces of information are untrue.

And just to add - I also pointed out that this was important because I am disabled and need broadband connectivity. So much for "vulnerable customers" as well.

Re: New customer - Sky Hub delivery

Despite the rather terse response I received that felt like it implied I was being foolish believing the Sky staff, and has left me thinking I won't be coming back to this forum for any help, I thought I would update this for the benefit of anyone else with a similar issue.

The hub has arrived today at my current address and in time for my move, as promised. So apparently they DO do as they say, contrary to what I was told here.

Thank you Sky.
