Installation Fibre

I am very dissappointed with this initial interaction and I dont even have the service yet. I cointacted sky and received an initial installation date of 22nd August (5 days later than I requested) I then received a message a few days later saying that I will experience a delay and that I should log onto the app/weblink to get the details. I did this and was told I cannot access any messages as I dont have any SKY products yet ( well daahhh) Why then did SKY send me the link to view my messages. I sent emails and tried to call yo get more information, Why the delay, Why cant I view my messages? Why am I, after confirming my deal, noit getting anybody (a person) to call me? Even the automated telephone system requires  issues I have with an ongoing problem. I am not looking forward to dealing with SKY - It may seem this is the pictuire of what is yet to come. What are my options to cancel? Remembering I have no  movement in this since the intial phone call. I have 2 emails sending me my account number - nothing else.

@Luren installation of fibre lines do not always go smoothly the work is mainly done by Openreach and what has probably happened is Sky placed an order with. Openreach taking the first slot in the diary. Openreach will have reviewed the order and seen the work is more complex than expected.

You need tontalk to Sky to find out excatly what is happening so I have escalated your post to the Sky team who support the forum who should be in touch soon to offer you a private chat session to get this sorted. Keep an eye onnthe forum as if you miss the message just click the chat icon which will be added to the forum pages for you to use.saving a long phone call.

@Luren

Also worth noting that the current Openreach target is for over 80,000 FTTP installations a week for the next two years: some inevitably don't go as smoothly as hoped.
