New Sky broadband connection error

Hi

I'm trying to order Sky Fibre broadband for my home and trying to place an order online. After I provide my email and house details it comes up with an error "Looks like we have found an account associated with your address. Please enter the valid email address linked to the account in order to continue with your order"

I have never used Sky broadband at this address and have been staying here for the last 4 years. I have not used Sky anytime with the email address I used too.

I called up Sky customer care and they have confirmed they don't see a sky broadband connection at my address either.

Any ideas what I can do to place my order online?

Thanks

Nanda

@nandug23 it is unlikely thst you will be able to place an order using the online tools because in some cases it is impossible due to factors that require an agent to get informed agreement from you. The error message dhould not be taken too literally as thry sometimes are completly wrong.

This can be frustrating if trying to access a cash back offer or similar from a referral site buut is unavoudablr.

Re: New Sky broadband connection error

Thanks for your reply.

I have now placed an order from one of the other service providers. Shame that a silly software glitch could take away potential customers but that is how it works I believe.

And just as a word of caution for people reading this...this site is being used by scammers who mail people posing themselves as Sky 'Community Department' customer care and coaxing you to provide your phone number and other details from 'gmail' addresses and taking orders over 'phone'.

Thanks

@nandug23 That's strange how did the scammers even get any details?
