Re: New Router for Gigafast?
@Rodger1 the standard black Sky Brosdband hub can be used for any Sky brosdband service up to the 900Mb/s package. It has 3 Gigabit capable Ethernet ports. Its only limitation is with WiFi where as a WiFi5 device it tops out at 650Mb/s. The newer white Sky Max hub supports WiFi6 which should allow speeds up to 900Mb/s over WiFi to devices supporting WiFi6 or higher in the area near the hub.
i have used both of these hubs and found that their WiFi range and speed in rooms further away were very similar. In practical use the performance is very similar the extra speed is only really apparent when running speed tests.
Currently Sky supply the white Sky hubs to new customersxand to existing customers who add the WiFi Max bundle to their order otherwise you get to keep your black hub and are sent a conversion kit of an Ethernet cable if moving from partial fibe. This can change as it depends on stock levels but customerscare not given a choice.
The black hubs have one advantage if you still have Sky Q boxes as these hubs fully support the Q mesh system which mens the Q boxes act as WiFi hot spots. The white hubs do not and the hotspots cannot be used by your other devices and any Q mini boxes have to use the WiFi signal from the main Q bix.
65inch Sky Glass, 3 Sky Streaming Pucks, Sky Ultrafast + and Sky SR213(white Wifi Max hub) main Wifi from 3 TP-Link Deco M4 units in access point mode

For the upto 900Mbps service both the Sky Max Hub (SR213, UK only, not RoI) and the Sky Broadband Hub (SR203) work.
If you have any of the others pictured they'll send you out a new hub, with the exception being the Sky Gigafast+ Hub which is only used where CityFibre provide the infrastructure to the house (for 2.5 & 5Gbps service)
