New Build Activation

Hi.

I am new to the community and have not yet found any existing posts relating to my issue.

I am about to move into a new build property(renting). The property has fttc doen by openreach, as i have been told by my rental agent.

Every broadband provider i have contacted, 100% of all providers in my area, are able to see the address on their database but are unable to provide me with a deal as they cannot do a test on the line. My rental agent is insistent on the fact that it should be working but I am not sure. After a few hours of googling I have come to the asumption that I should get an engineer to come out and activate it first before applying for broadband. The thing is I cannot find anywhere with a link to get an angineer from anyone.

Any Ideas or solutions would be appreciated.

Many thanx

That would be correct, because booking an installer (if required) is part of the order process, not something which can be arranged outside of it.

I'd think thats a real problem because it tends to indicates Openreach don't have a record at all, and without this I doubt any ISP can progress an order.

You might want to check again with the developer that they registered the site with Openreach.
