New Broadband HUb Activation Code not received

I received a new SKY hbroadband hub and was informed not to activate it until i have received the activation code.  I was informed that the code would be on the box that the hub arrived in. WRONG, there is no code on the label or box.  The label is different to the one shown on  your help page.  I am unable to proceed without this code and have no Idea what i have to do now.  I am a 79 year old widow and need help with tecnical things.

@Cheryl0109  Broadband hubs do not have or need an activation code, I presume you mean activation date?

 

Is this a new install or a replacement hub?

 

If a new install what is your Go Live date with Sky?

yes I do mean an activation date.  This is a replacement hub which SKY advised me to have.

You can start using that straight away as it is just a replacement so there is no activation date as you are already a broadband customer.

IF the hub is just a replacement and I am a current user, is it neccesary to change my SKY password?

@Cheryl0109  The new hub will have a different wifi ID & password, both will be on the back of or underneath the hub.

The only way you can get around this is to login to the new hub and change the network name and wifi password to the same as the old one had.
