Network upgrade

Sky have told me I have to use a new router as the network to the house is being upgraded.

I have recieved a new hub and two cables which I can connect myself on 11th May and also plug the phone into this new router.

my question is,  does my internal wiring to the new router need to be changed?

sky have not offered n appointment for this to be done.

Will my phone and broadband work after connecting the new hub if it is not changed?
