If you have an fttp line then all asus wifi 6 ax and axe router should work directly connected to the ont and the images above should be the same for all xt and et models

Im all good using the asus XT12 mesh system as it has option 61, replaced the 💩sky router and now getting just about full gigabit over wifi.

Are you using both mesh units ontop of the main router? What speeds are you getting at the furthest node to the main router?

I swapped out the ET12 for the XT12 as the ET12 its better for wired backhauling & i cant do wired backhauling. XT12 2 pack was on sale for £560 for black friday on amazon which is a great price which has a dedicated 5ghz-2 just for backhauling If i connect directly to the 2nd node via ethernet to my pc i get basically the same as the main router. Few ms ping higher
Took this 30 mins ago

This is a speedtest from the furthest space in inside the garage which has foil backed brickwalls, ping a bit higher but nothing important happens in the garage

AX, its these ASUS ZenWiFi Pro XT12 (2 Pack) - lhttps://amzn.eu/7mZ3AUG
personally its worth it, i would have done ubiquity pro enterprise gear with access points but i cant do any ethernet without basically remodelling the house. was built in 2008 so not that old...but they didnt think of the future which is a PITA when it comes to what to do, mesh was the only thing (coulr do powerline) but we have separate circuits for upstairs and down so not ideal. basically now the entire house is covered with wifi & the 2nd node for PC i can connect via ethernet & also some decices i have bind just to the main router so it doesnt switch to the node / vice versa.
also created a guest network for 2.4ghz & then hidden it so things like ring devices like cameras etc are just on a 2.4gz band and not taking up 5ghz bandwidth.
