Hi we have just installed cctv cameras and to get them to link to the mobile app we need to connect an Ethernet to a router but they are installed upstairs, so we connected it to the booster we have upstairs but the next day the sky boxes upstairs wouldn't work and engineer has come out and fitted a new booster with no ports. Is there anything we can buy to connect the cctv to WiFi again? I wasn't in when the engineer was there to ask. TIA

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@Berniew1 unfortunately the latest batch of Sky boosters lack an ethernet port. You msybe able to find an earlier booster of the same type with an ethernet port online which msybe difficult or pricy .
Alternatively and probably a bettercdolution is to buy a Powerline networking kit which uses your home's mains wiring to carry the data. You will need a kitvwith 2 adapters thecfirst plugs into a wall socket - dont usectrailing adapters - near the hub and connects via an etgernet lead. The second is similarly plugged in near the cameras and connected by another ethernet lead. Expect around 20 to 40% ofvtgecrated through put and youbshouldn't be disapointed..
