My broadband doesn't work.

Every time I close my laptop it disconnects from the wifi. It now takes up ro 5 minutes each time to ree connect. My laptop has just disconnected at the same time as the tv and my wifes phone.  It has been happening since December when I went onto fibre.  I have cancelled two engineer oppointments as when I book an appointment it miraculously starts to work. Has anyone else had similar problems?

Hi,

 

Where is your router and devices, what is the approx distance and is there any walls between. could be the distance from the router or obstructions.

 

You could try the laptop a couple of meters away in direct view of the router and see if that makes a difference.

It's about three feet away on the dining room table with nothing in between.

Hi, might be worth trying to login to the admin panel on the router and trying a different wifi channel you maybe getting interference on that channel, you and usually login at 192.168.0.1 with user admin and the password is on the router.

 

Which router do you have ?
