First I really dislike the whole idea of having to use an App to access the advance setting... WHY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?????????????
So first issue..The App fails to detect Static IP devices so I'm unable to even setup Port Forwarding for these items.
Next issue, Items which are DHCP and which are deteted by the APP, I Port Forward and yet... Still blocked!!
More details:
## SR213 Hub 6 v2 (MAP-T) - Inbound Port Forwarding / DMZ Not Working
I've spent a full day isolating this problem and believe I've ruled out my LAN equipment. I'm hoping someone familiar with the SR213 and MAP-T can advise.
### Equipment
* Sky Full Fibre
* Sky Hub Max SR213 (Hub 6 v2)
* Firmware: 8.5.0.8
* WAN IPv4: **5.70.0.159**
* Connection type: **MAP-T Enabled**
* MAP-T Sharing Ratio: **1:1**
* Public IP shown by ifconfig.me matches the WAN IP shown by the router.
### LAN
* Router LAN: **192.168.0.1/24**
### What I'm trying to achieve
Remote access to:
* Server on TCP 8080
* Global Caché on TCP 4998
This setup worked perfectly for years on a Sky copper broadband and as a tempory period TalkTalk connection using the same hardware.
### Verified
* Server reachable locally at **192.168.0.168**
* ARP entry exists:
```
192.168.0.168 -> 00:13:14:03:46:59
```
* Sky Hub correctly identifies the sever .
```
* Global Caché reachable locally.
* All LAN devices communicate normally.
### Tests performed
* Port forwarding configured via My Sky App.
* DMZ tested with server.
* Port forwarding tested with Global Caché.
* Tested from external 5G connection (Wi-Fi disabled).
* Tested using both:
* Public IP
* DDNS hostname
### Results
None of the following are reachable externally:
* TCP 8080 (Server)
* TCP 4998 (Global Caché)
DMZ also fails to expose the server.
### Things already ruled out
* Incorrect LAN IP configuration
* Incorrect gateway
* Switch fault (Server tested directly connected to Sky Hub)
* Faulty Ethernet cable
* Wrong public IP (confirmed against ifconfig.me)
* CGNAT (router reports public IPv4)
### Question
Has anyone seen this on an SR213 running MAP-T?
Specifically:
* Is inbound IPv4 port forwarding fully supported on MAP-T?
* Are there known provisioning issues where MAP-T reports **1:1** but inbound forwarding still fails?
* Is there anything else that needs enabling on the SR213 beyond the normal My Sky App port forwarding?
At this point I'm trying to determine whether this is:
1. A MAP-T provisioning issue.
2. A firmware issue with the SR213.
3. Expected behaviour on this service.
Any input from someone who has successfully forwarded ports on an SR213 using MAP-T would be greatly appreciated.
Mostly because talking users through over-riding browsers warning about 'insecure connection' is a support overhead which ISPs don't want.
Realistically it also gives them an app footprint to leverage for other purposes.
Re: My Sky App not detecting Static IP device and Port Forwarding not working
Unfortunately the App isn't detecting any of my Static IP devices, so can't port forward to those.
Re: My Sky App not detecting Static IP device and Port Forwarding not working
Router also says:
WAN IPv4: X.XX.X.XXX (Shared using MAP-T)
MAP-T: Enabled
MAP-T Sharing Ratio: 1:1
If that helps.
