I am moving into a new build house soon and want to take my broadband with me. I want the switch to be as seamless as possible so as not to be without broadband in my new home. How long does it take to set up please? I will be using the same router.

If not there could be complications.
I would also check to see what is availble at the new property via this link https://www.broadbandchecker.btwholesale.com/#/ADSL/AddressHome
Under normal circumstances, assuming there ae no issues the lead time for an install is around 10 working days.

As @GD1 indicates, domestic ISPs don't do guarantees. Where things can go really wrong is when the new property currently has copper but the new service is being provisioned over full fibre and that runs into a delay, because there's no way to get the copper reactivated in the interim.
Using the link above will indicate which service will be commissioned.

Sky will also require at least two weeks notice...

A new build on any sizeable development will hopefully have FTTP already installed with an ONT in place, but an order still needs placing with an ISP well in advance of moving in.
Note that one complication can be where the address doesn't yet have a postcode on the necessary databases.

@TimmyBGood Yes the house already has FTTP and an ONT. I also know the house can't be easily found by postcode as it's not yet registered everywhere. It is registered with Royal Mail though.

OK: having an ONT already is a big help, but you may find Sky (and other ISPs) can't take an order if the address isn't on their sales database yet.
